Manhunt In Bergen Co. Stabbing Ends In Arrest: Police

A man wanted in connection with the stabbing of a person earlier this week in Teaneck was found and arrested, police said Thursday.

TEANECK, NJ — A man was arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 20-year-old man earlier this week in Teaneck, Deputy Police Chief Andrew McGurr said Thursday.

Jacob Gibbs, who was accused of repeatedly stabbing the victim, was found at a Bogota home, where he was apprehended. He was then remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending an initial court appearance, McGurr said.

Gibbs, 27, of Teaneck, was charged with attempted murder, a first-degree crime; aggravated assault, a second-degree crime; possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a third-degree crime; and unlawful possession of a weapon, a fourth-degree crime.

The stabbing victim is reportedly in stable condition, police said.
