Sustainable Mahwah Green Team Hosts 'Protecting Your Trees, Shrubs from Hungry Deer' March 26

The program will give tips for homeowners seeking to preserve their property's plant life without harmful effects to animals or environment.

With spring right around the corner, the Sustainable Mahwah Green Team is hosting a free informational presentation titled “Protecting Your Trees and Shrubs from Hungry Deer” on Thursday, March 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mahwah Senior Activity Center, located at 475 Corporate Drive.

Bob Malgieri from Borst Organic Landscaping will provide tips and resources for homeowners seeking to preserve their property’s plant life without harmful effects to the animals or the environment, according to a press release. Attendees will learn why deer eat their trees and shrubs, which flora species they like best and which plants are deer resistant. Time will also be allotted for questions and answers.
