The Mahwah Marlins' swim and dive teams had great seasons and captured league championships, administrator Angela Larkin said.

MAHWAH, NJ — It was a great season for the Mahwah Marlins, Angela Larkin, administrator for the swim and dive teams, told Patch.

In fact, the swim team went undefeated, while capturing a league title this summer, and the dive team was also crowned league champions, Larkin said. Both teams included children aged 5-17, some of whom swam and dived, and they each won their respective six-team league meets.

After winning the Central Bergen Swim League competition, the swim team had 14 swimmers who were selected to move on to the county level, where one swimmer, Sebastian Hendrawan, broke the 50-meter freestyle county record.
