Voting Tuesday: What You'll See On Mahwah's Ballot
See all the races, from the gubernatorial contest to the local four-way town council contest and the uncontested Board of Ed election.
Before you head to the polls on Tuesday, check out what you can expect to see. Above is a sample Mahwah ballot, released by the Bergen County Clerk’s Office last month.
Locally, voters will be choosing candidates in two elections.
Four candidates are running to fill one seat on the Mahwah township council. Rob Hermansen, Jonathan Marcus, Gregg Sgambati, and Jonathan Wong are all running to finish out the year left in a four-year term vacated by former Councilman John Spiech earlier this year.

On the Board of Education, three Board members – Suzanne Curry, Doug D’Angelo, and Chuck Saldarini, are running unopposed for reelection.
Board member Rick DeSilva is running in an uncontested race for a one-year unexpired term. DeSilva was appointed last year to fill a vacancy left by the resignation of former board member Ken Angelo. He is now running to finish out the remainder of Angelo’s term.

Topping the ballot is the gubernatorial election between Republican Governor Chris Christie and Democratic challenger Barbara Buono..
Also on the ticket, you’ll see races for state senator, members of the General Assembly, Sheriff members of the Board of Chosen Freeholders, and two public questions.
