Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit By Car In Bergen County: Police

HACKENSACK, NJ — A 59-year-old woman was critically injured after being hit by a car on Monday evening in Hackensack, city police Capt. Michael Antista said.

The victim, of Hackensack, was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk when she was hit by a car traveling south on Hudson Street toward Kansas Street, Antista said.

She suffered several injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She was listed in critical but stable condition, police said.

The driver of the vehicle, a 63-year-old man, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
