Tennent Avenue Resurfacing to Close Road

The road will be resurfaced between April 8 and April 16.

Tennent Avenue (Route 522) will will be closed from Main Street in Englishtown to Tennent Road in Manalapan while it is being resurfaced between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday, April 8 through Tuesday, April 16, Monmouth County has announced. The Manalapan Police Department said that the construction is expected to be completed by Thursday, April 11 at the earliest barring no weather delay.

The Monmouth County Highway Division will be setting up a detour route and will be notifying residents and businesses that will be affected by milling and paving of the road. The road will be closed to most traffic during this project, but open to local traffic, businesses, emergency vehicles, school buses, and post office vehicles. So, please plan an alternate route or follow the detour.

The Manalapan Township Municipal Building, Manalapan Police Department, and post office will be accessible through Taylor Mills Road.
