First Race Of RevNJ Race Series To Take Place In Manalapan

MANALAPAN, NJ — The first race of RevNJ's Race Series will take place at Monmouth Battlefield State Park on Saturday.

The series will visit Revolutionary War battlefields and other historic sites throughout the state in preparation for the American Revolution's 250th anniversary, officials said.

On Saturday, participants can sign up for a one-mile family fun walk or join a 5K race. Both tracks will take attendees on a tour of the park, which was once the site of one of the longest battles of the American Revolution.

Registration for each race includes a shirt, commemorative magnet and a finisher medal, according to officials.

The top 3 overall male and female finishers will receive an award, officials said, as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the ten year age group categories.
