Fraud, Warrant Arrests, Theft: Manalapan Police Blotter
Six fraud incidents were reported to Manalapan Police from Aug. 28 through Sept. 3.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported multiple incidents of fraud, warrant arrests and theft from Aug. 28 through Sept. 3.
Aug. 28
Justin Liotta, 28, of Marlboro was arrested at a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 after he was found to be driving while intoxicated. Liotta was arrested and brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses.
A 48-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone fraudulently opened a bank account in their name and took $13,000 from the account.

Loss prevention employees of the Wegmans on 55 Route 9 in Manalapan reported that a woman shoplifted $805.81 worth of merchandise from the store.
A 32-year-old Manalapan resident reported being defrauded for $4,800 online.

A 66-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone stole their Social Security number.
A 63-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by someone over the phone.
Aug. 29
A 51-year-old Staten Island resident reported that $5,000 was stolen from them as a result of a fraudulent investment.
Aug. 30
Tyrone Harris, 54, of Tenafly, was arrested by Patrolman Kyle Williams at a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 for an unnamed motor vehicle violation. Harris was also found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office. Harris was brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office.
Aug. 31
Nigar Azimova, 40, of Milltown, was arrested by Patrolman Matthew Parke at a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 for an unnamed motor vehicle violation. Azimova was also found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Elizabeth Municipal Court. Azimova was arrested and brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and turned over to the Elizabeth Police Department.
A 39-year-old Manalapan resident reported two people entering an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a Country Oaks Drive home. No items were reported missing as a result of the incident.
Sept. 2
A 91-year-old Manalapan resident reported that between Aug. 28 and Aug. 30, someone made $7,168 in fraudulent transactions using the victim’s bank card.
Sept. 3
A 38-year-old Hackensack resident reported someone removing multiple items of unknown value from a construction site at 200 Crossing Lane in Manalapan.
Employees of the Valley National Bank at 801 Tennent Road in Manalapan reported someone obtaining $4,010.92 using a fraudulent check.
A 34-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone making unauthorized purchases for $19,044.34 using the victim’s credit card.
A 43-year-old Manalapan resident reported someone stealing $4,852.83 in funds paid for a travel itinerary.
