Knights of Columbus Honor Fire Chief Rick Hogan [VIDEO]

Hogan was presented with the Shield Award, the Knights of Columbus' highest honor for police officers and firefighters.

Fire Chief Rick Hogan was presented with the Knights of Columbus Shield Award for his outstanding service as Fire Chief and Office of Emergency Management Coordinator during Superstorm Sandy by the Knights of Columbus Prince of Peace Council of Englishtown.

Grand Knight Nick Campanella presented Hogan with the award at the Manalapan Township Committee meeting on Wednesday, April 24. The Shield Award offered to firefighters and police officers every year; it is the highest award presented by the Knights of Columbus in recognition of the service and dedication police and firefighters provide.

Hogan thanked the Knights for the prestigious award, as well as for all of the community service they provide. Hogan also thanked the OEM, Manalapan first responders, business partners, and the Manalapan Township Committee.
