Mail Stolen, Checks Forged For $25,000: Manalapan Police

Manalapan police report that a Robin Court residence had mail removed from the mailbox; later checks were forged.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Someone removed mail from a resident's mailbox, then forged checks worth over $25,000, police here said.

On Feb. 4, a 50-year-old township resident told Manalapan police that someone removed mail from the mailbox of his Robin Court residence, police said.

Two checks were then forged in the amount of $25,718.00, police said.
