UPDATE: Man on Run Identified as Justin Miller of PA, Assault Details Revealed
Miller has still not been apprehended by police.
Monroe Township Police have released the identity of the man . The man has been identified as 23-year-old Justin Alexander Miller of Effort, Pa.
Miller was stopped by a Florence Township police officer for a moving violation at 4:08 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, according to Florence police. During the motor vehicle stop the police officer noticed that Miller provided him with a false name. He also noticed that the license plates on the vehicle did not match the motor vehicle, a Florence police report indicated. An investigation revealed that the license plates were stolen in Pennsylvania.
While attempting to make an arrest, Miller forcefully pushed the officer away from him and ran away; the officer proceeded to chase the subject.
While Florence police attempted to locate Miller, he had stolen a motor vehicle that was left unlocked and running in a home driveway, according to Florence police.
At around 9:18 a.m., a Monroe police officer saw a vehicle which matched the vehicle of the reported stolen vehicle. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle after confirming that the vehicle was stolen and that the driver was wanted for assaulting a Florence Township police officer that morning.
Miller reportedly attempted to elude the Monroe police officer by accelerating at a high speed and the officer ended the pursuit due to the high speeds and poor weather conditions, according to Monroe police.

The stolen vehicle was later recovered on New Beginnings Crossing in Englishtown and towed away a short-time later. Manalapan, Englishtown, and Monroe police began a man-hunt for Alexander along with the help of the New Jersey State Police who offered their K9 unit for tracking and aviation unit.
According to Florence police, Pennyslvania State Police and Pennsylvania State Parole are also a part of the investigation.

As of Thursday morning, Miller has not yet been located. He has been described as 5'7", 160 lbs., thinly built, with blonde hair, hazel eyes, and a thin beard. He was wearing dark-colored clothing when he was last seen, according to Monroe police.
Miller faces charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, theft of a motor vehicle, escape, and 4 motor vehicle summonses out of Florence Township.
