UPDATE: Man on Run in Manalapan Arrested by NY State Police and U.S. Marshals

Justin Miller was apprehended in New York following a joint investigation with U.S. Marshals and Pennsylvania State Parole.

The man who was on the run in Manalapan Township after reportedly assaulting a Florence Township Police officer two weeks ago was detained and arrested in Middletown, NY on Thursday, March 7.

Middletown New York State Trooper Barracks contacted Manalapan Police and told them that Justin Miller, 23, of Effort, Pa. was arrested in a seasonal fishing cabin in Deerpark, NY by members of the State Police and U.S. Marshals.

Miller was wanted both in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and a joint investigation between the U.S. Marshalls and the Pennsylvania State Parole helped the New York State Police make the apprehension.

Both Manalapan and Englishtown Police were part of the search for Miller on Tuesday, Feb. 28 after he left a stolen vehicle in New Beginnings Crossing in Manalapan and fled the area on foot.

Manalapan Police, Englishtown Police, Monroe Police, New Jersey State Police aviation and K-9 unit, and the Monmouth County K-9 unit all assisted in the search for Miller, but they were unsuccessful. Miller remained at large for nine days.
