Manalapan, Englishtown Officials Celebrated Read Across America

Both Manalapan and Englishtown officials took part in Read Across America at Clark Mills School.

Manalapan Mayor Susan Cohen and other Manalapan Township and Englishtown officials put on a red and white stovepipe hat Wednesday, Feb. 27 to celebrate Read Across America with local children.

Read Across America is celebrated annually across the country by the National Education Association and honors the late Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss) on March 1, the day before what would have been the author's 109th birthday.

In New Jersey, Read Across America is conducted by the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) in partnership with the New Jersey State League of Municipalities and the New Jersey Library Association.
