Manalapan Teen Stabbed with Knife and Robbed of Cell Phone

Manalapan police are looking for information about two men who reportedly assaulted and robbed a local high school student.

A Manalapan High School student was stabbed with a knife and robbed of his cell while sitting within a car with the windows down on Heron Court last week, police said.

Police are looking for two black men who reportedly walked up to the vehicle, stabbed the driver, and stole his cell phone on Tuesday, April 23. The victim, a 17-year-old white male of Manalapan, and the passenger of the car, a 16-year-old white male of Manalapan, began chasing the two suspects as they ran towards Tracy Station Road on foot, but stopped once police arrived on the scene. The patrolmen searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. According to police, the victims were not acquainted with the attackers.

The two suspects were described as black males that appeared to be about 16-years-old. One of the men was wearing a black doo rag and the other man had an afro, police reported.

The victim was treated at the scene by the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid. The laceration was reportedly minor.
