Manalapan police arrested two men for reportedly being in possession of a variety of drugs during a routine motor vehicle stop.  Ptl. Kyle Earley of the Manalapan Police Department stopped a white van travelling north on Route 9 on the morning of Monday, March 4. An investigation revealed that the driver, Howard Clayton, and the passenger, Jason Platt, were in possession of marijuana, a Fentanyl pain patch, and an unknown drug believed to be a narcotic, according to police. Clayton, 33, of Jackson, and Platt, 30, of New Egypt, were arrested and charged with possession of dangerous substances. They were released pending their court date.
