See A Colonial Kitchen Herb Garden In Englishtown

The garden exhibit allows attendees to learn about what dishes and food preparation were like in colonial America.

ENGLISHTOWN, NJ — Englishtown’s Historic Village Inn has planted their new Colonial Kitchen Herb Garden exhibit in the Inn courtyard.

“As a community collaboration with Hightstown Grange #96, this is a historic teaching garden,” the Inn said.

When visiting the exhibit, attendees can learn about what dishes and food preparation were like in colonial America, as well as what seasonings have been passed down to the present day.

For attendees, there’s a recommended admission donation of $6 per visitor with special group/family rates available.

You can see the Colonial Kitchen Herb Garden exhibit at the Inn’s next tour day, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 18.
