Theft Of Township Landscape Equipment Reported In Manalapan
Manalapan police report that power equipment was stolen from a township storage trailer at the Recreation Center.

MANALAPAN, NJ — The township itself was targeted in a recent theft, the Manalapan Police Department reported.
A Department of Public Works supervisor told police Feb. 23 that someone removed various landscape power equipment from a storage trailer parked in the Manalapan Township Recreation Center.
The property is valued at$2,450, police said.

The matter is being investigated. Patrolman Reginald Grant handled this incident.
In its weekly report of criminal activity in the township, Deputy Chief Leonard Maltese also reported the following incidents:

- Another theft was reported Feb. 22 by a Keansburg resident, 33, who told police that a license plate was stolen from his/her vehicle.
Two pharmacy burglaries were also reported by police and are under investigation:
- On Feb. 24 at 2:15 a.m., someone operating a white, four-door Audi sedan forced entry to the Future Pharmacy, 700 Tennent Road, but no merchandise was reported missing.
- Also on Feb. 24, at about about 2 a.m., someone forced entry to the Andee Plaza Pharmacy, 130 Route 33, and removed various items of unknown value.
Shoplifting continues at major stores, with Wegman's being targeted again this week, according to police:
- On Feb.26, a Millstone resident and warehouse worker, 51, was charged with shoplifting $630.63 worth of merchandise from the Wegman's Supermarket, 55 Route 9. She was released on a summons.
- On Feb. 24, a Brooklyn resident, 67, was charged with shoplifting $532.89 worth of merchandise from the same Wegman's store. He was released on a summons.
