BELMAR – A 12-year-old Belmar boy who likes to bake was reportedly able to realize a dream: Getting on TV.

Anthony Fontanez of Belmar appeared on the Food Network on Monday when it aired the premiere episode of season eight of "Kids Baking Championship," according to The Asbury Park Press.

After auditioning for the show twice, Anthony was able to compete against 11 other young bakers from across the country, according to The Press.

The St. Rose Grammar School seventh-grader appeared at 9 p.m. on Monday, according to TAPinto.

“After his third time trying out with 100,000 other kids, he’s finally made it through,” his mother, Michelle Fontanez, told TAPinto. “He loves baking and bakes every single day.”
