Belmar To Move Halloween Festivities Indoors Due To Weather
The borough has canceled the Halloween costume parade but will still hold its costume contest and trunk or treat indoors.

BELMAR, NJ – Due to the storm that is forecasted to bring up to four inches and high winds of rain to the state Friday, the borough of Belmar had to make changes to its Halloween celebration, scheduled for Friday afternoon.
According to Barry Trogu, the borough’s recreation director, the costume parade would be canceled. All other events, including the trunk-or-treat, would be moved indoors to the borough’s municipal building.
“Unfortunately, the weather is not going to cooperate with us, so the parade portion of the Halloween contest will be canceled,” Trogu said in a video posted on the borough’s Facebook page.

The trunk-or-treat will take place in the municipal courtroom between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. with music from the Beach Music Rock Band.
