Belmar Public Library Hosts Juneteenth Celebration, Concert

It will be 7 p.m. Monday at Taylor Pavilion, and features the John Luckenbill Pop Orchestra and speaker Tasha Youngblood Brown.

BELMAR, NJ — This Monday, June 20, the Belmar Public Library and Recreation Department will host a Juneteenth celebration and concert event.

All are welcome.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Taylor Pavilion, and features the John Luckenbill Pop Orchestra and speaker Tasha Youngblood Brown.

Brown is on the Board of Trustees at Monmouth University and president of the Long Branch Board of Education, both of her alma maters. A lifelong community advocate, she is the current treasurer for Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Guild of Long Branch and sits on the executive board of several organizations including the Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. , Jersey Shore (NJ) Chapter of Links, Inc. among others.

She works as a managing director with Ernst & Young, LLP (EY) in the firm’s Government and Public Sector practice.

She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council. As the Board Treasurer, she fuels another passion for entrepreneurship by working with minority-owned, women-owned businesses and corporations as an advocate for supplier diversity. She currently leads the Entrepreneur Access Network program for New Jersey.
