Coastal Monmouth Beach Report For July 27, 2017
Partly sunny skies, with a moderate risk of rip currents on tap for the beach today.

The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies today with a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Highs will be in the upper 70s. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 miles per hour, switching to the south at 15 miles per hour in the afternoon. If you want to hit the beach, better go today. Heavy rain is forecast for the next several days.
There's a moderate risk of rip currents today. Check with your local beach patrol before going into the water. Be sure to swim on a guarded beach and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you in the water.

The ultraviolet index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high. The lightning threat is low, which means there is little chance of thunderstorms.
Waves will be from two to three feet high, with southeast swells of two feet. The ocean water temperature is 74 degrees.

High tide at Belmar rolled in at 11:18 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 5:08 p.m, followed by another high tide at 11:29 p.m.
