Coastal Monmouth Beach Report For July 5, 2017
Cloudy skies, cool temperatures, a low rip current risk on tap for today.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly cloudy skies today with temperatures in the low 70s.
Winds will be from the northeast around 10 miles per hour, switching over to the southeast in the afternoon and increasing to 10 to 15 miles per hour
There's a low risk of rip currents today, but rips can still happen near jetties and other structures. Always swim within sight of lifeguards and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests bringing a floatation device with you in the water.

Waves will be around 2 feet, with southeast swells of one to two feet. The surf temperature is slowly warming up to the the upper 60s.
The ultraviolet index is a 9, which the National Weather Service considers very high, so bring the sunscreen. There is no lightning threat today.

High tide at Belmar rolled in at 5:16 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 11:17 a.m., followed by another high tide at 5:44 p.m.
