Coastal Monmouth Beach Report For June 28, 2017

The National Weather Service is calling for a near-perfect beach day, but water and air temperatures are still chilly.

There's a low risk of rip currents, but rips are always possible, especially near jetties and other structures. Always swim in guarded areas and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests bringing a flotation device with you in the water.

The surf temperatures is a shin-chilling 66 degrees. Waves will be around two feet, with light swells.

Skies will be sunny, with temperatures in the mid 70s. Winds will be from the west at 10 miles per hour.

The ultraviolet index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high. There is no lightning threat.

Low tide at Belmar rolled in at 5:24 a.m. High tide will arrive at 11:47 p.m, followed by another low tide at 5:34 p.m.
