Coastal Monmouth County Beach Weather Report For Sept. 27, 2016

Rough surf, moderate rip current risk forecast for today.

The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies and showers early this morning, becoming partly sunny by late this afternoon.

Highs will be in the lower 70s. Beach winds will be from the southwest at around 10 miles per hour.
Waves will be choppy at three to four feet, with southerly swells of around four feet. Please do not swim on unguarded beaches. There are very few beaches open this late in the season. The ocean water temperature is 71 degrees.

The rip current risk today is moderate, which means wind or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents, especially around piers, jetties and other areas during low tide. Always have a flotation device with you in the water and swim only on guarded beaches.
