Dangerous Rip Current Risk Drops At Monmouth County Beaches, Sunny Skies Expected
National Weather Service is still predicting a moderate risk for swimmers.

The National Weather Service is calling for a moderate risk of rip currents on Monmouth County beaches today, a welcome change from the perilous conditions of the weekend.
But you should still check with local beach patrols, always swim on a guarded beach and never swim alone or at night. A young woman who worked on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk, apparently drowned after she took an early morning swim on Sunday morning.
The NWS recommends you always bring a flotation device with you in the water. The surf temperature is 70 degrees. Waves will be around much three feet, with easterly swells of 2 feet, much lower than those from the weekend.
