Day Of Prayer Planned For Injured Football Player From Manasquan
The Church of St. Denis in Manasquan is to have a day of prayer, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, for Aaron Van Trease on Tuesday.
MANASQUAN, NJ — The Church of St. Denis is inviting "all to stop and pray" for Aaron Van Trease and his family, in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as through the intercession of St. Padre Pio on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
According to the church website, "There has been a great outpouring of support for Aaron and his family, and we are going to continue to offer our spiritual support to our parishioner through a special Day of Adoration and Prayer."
Aaron is a senior at St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel and was seriously injured Sept. 23 in a football home game in Holmdel. The quarterback, number 18, is recovering from a spinal injury at a rehabilitation facility.

After the 7:30 a.m. Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed throughout the day until Mass at 7 p.m., which will conclude the Day of Prayer.
The church said the sign-up sheet is in the back of the church, and a more complete schedule of the day will be shared by the church. The church is at 90 Union Ave. in Manasquan.

There has been great support for Aaron and his family from the town residents, from his school and from the larger community. There also is a GoFundMe site to help the family with medical bills.
