Palmer, who is the task force coordinator. The checkpoints are held to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The Oceanport checkpoint will run from 10 p.m. tonight through 2 a. m. on Saturday on Oceanport Avenue. Task force members and Oceanport police officers will pull vehicles from the northbound lanes into the Fort Monmouth 400 control parking lot, Palmer said. The Monmouth Beach checkpoint will run from 9 p.m. on Saturday through 1 a.m. on Sunday on Ocean Avenue.
