Man Accused Of Murdering Sarah Stern Due Back In Court This Week

Contents of recorded conversation between Liam McAtasney and a person identified only as "A.C." could be revealed.

The man accused of strangling Neptune City woman Sarah Stern will be back in a Monmouth courtroom on Tuesday for a bail detention hearing, according to a report in app.com.

Liam McAtasney, will appear before Superior Court Judge David F. Bauman at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Prosecutors must convince Bauman that there is probably cause to believe McAtansey committed the murder.

McAtansey reportedly had a recorded conversation with someone identified as "A.C.," said his attorney Chuck Moriarty. Moriarty has said the evidence against his client included the recorded conversation.

A clue was revealed by McAtasney’s attorney, Chuck Moriarty, who has said the evidence against his client includes a recorded conversation he had with someone.

Doyle said then that McAtasney plotted Stern's execution for at least six months. He later telephoned Taylor, said he was going to murder Stern, and then asked Taylor to go to Stern's house and move her body.

McAtasney, 19, was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree felony murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree desecration of human remains and second-degree hindering.
Taylor, also 19 also 19, was charged with second-degree desecration of human remains and second-degree hindering apprehension, he said.

Authorities say that the two men then threw Stern's body off the Belmar bridge. Despite massive searches, her body has not been found yet.
