MANASQUAN, NJ - The Glimmer Glass Bridge on Brielle Road in Manasquan will be closed early Friday morning, authorities said.

The bridge, which connects Manasquan to Brielle, will be in the upright position from 4 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. for “routine maintenance,” Manasquan Police Department Chief Michael Bauer told Patch.

Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be closed during this time; the bridge will only be open for vessel traffic.

Motorists are asked to plan travel routes accordingly.
