MANASQUAN, NJ — Next Saturday, Dec. 17 there will be a special holiday concert at Reef & Barrel in Manasquan, benefiting Make-A-Wish New Jersey.

This is a three-hour live concert of holiday music. One hundred percent of all proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish, which makes wishes come true for children with critical illnesses.

The concert runs from 2-5 p.m. and there is a $25 suggested donation per person. In addition to holiday favorites, expects to hear hits from big band, classic rock and pop genres and even one or two country hits as well.

The show is called "Holiday Wishes" and will feature Michael Patrick Dominick of Wall Township, with nearly a dozen musicians and accompanying singers.

In fact, Dominick’s family experienced the life-changing power of a wish in 1992, when his younger brother Matthew was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Matthew was granted his wish to go to Disney World.

"Matt was not even a year old when he was first diagnosed," shared Dominick. "He relapsed three more times between then and his eighth birthday. It was during the second tumor/first relapse that we were introduced to Make-A-Wish, when he was about three years old. Thankfully, after the fourth tumor was removed and radiation treatments, Matt has been cancer free for over 25 years now. He’s now 33, happily married and has a son of his own!"

Dominick said the trip made such an impact on his family and his brother that he now performs every December for Make-A-Wish in New Jersey, Philadelphia, Syracuse and New York City.

Matthew will join the band Dec. 17 for a few guest performances as well.

Musicians and special guests include: Robby Schwartz (Band Leader), Chris Finelli, Cole Herudek, Marcus DeSouto, Matt Finelli, Allie McCrea, Anabelle Garcia Weishaar, Lauren Dominick, Samantha Mazzeo, Matthew Dominick, Carolyn Surdovel and more.

Mark your calendars: Saturday, December 17 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Reef & Barrel Beach Bar & Grill 153 Sea Girt Avenue, Manasquan, NJ $25 at the door, all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
