Monmouth County Beach Report: Sunny Skies, Cool Temps On Tap For Today

The National Weather Service Says The Air And Ocean Temperatures Today Will Be About The Same

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies today, but cool air temperatures at Monmouth County beaches.
The ocean water temperature may actually be warmer than the air. Highs today will only be in the mid-70s. The surf temperature is 75 degrees.

There's a low risk of rip currents, but rips can still occur near jetties and other structures. Always swim on a guarded beach and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you in the water.

Waves will be from 2 to 3 feet, with light swells. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 miles per hour.
The ultraviolet index is a 7, which the NWS considers high. There is no lightning threat today.
