National Weather Service Calling For Sunny Skies Today, But Rip Current Risk Rises
Air and water temperatures will still be cool today.

The National Weather Service is call for mostly sunny skies and cool temperatures today, with a rising rip current risk.
Temperatures will be in the upper 70s. Winds will be from the southwest at 10 miles per hour, switching to the south and increasing to 20 miles per hour in the afternoon.
The rip current risk today is moderate, which means you should always swim in a guarded area and never swim alone or at night. The NWS suggests you bring a flotation device with you in the water. Waves will be from two to four feet, with southerly swells of around three feet. The water temperature is still a chilly 66 degrees.

The ultraviolet index today is a 9, which the NWS considers very high. There is no lightning threat.
Low tide at Belmar rolled in at 6:15 a.m. High tide will arrive at 12:41 p.m., followed by another low tide at 6:32 p.m.
