New Timeline For Manasquan’s First Avenue Paving Project
The 90-day improvement project is underway and slated to continue through December. Here's the latest schedule.
MANASQUAN, NJ - The borough of Manasquan’s ambitious improvement plan set to repave and improve drainage on First Avenue is well underway as of last month. But how is the 90-day project set to continue?
According to a Nov. 1 update from the borough, the construction started the week of Oct. 18 and is slated to end in December after concrete work, milling/paving and ADA-compliant ramp upgrades.
Improvements will be paused when winter weather approaches, the borough said, and no work will be performed on weekends, Thanksgiving or day after Thanksgiving.

While First Avenue will periodically be blocked to through traffic in sections during the work day, First Avenue will remain open during non-work hours, the borough said. Equipment staging will commence no earlier than 7 a.m. and work will commence no earlier than 8 a.m.
As far as the project timeline goes, utility work including fire hydrant improvements and water system distribution valves should be completed by Mid-November (the work will result in periodic water service interruption, each time lasting for around two hours).
