Single Urogynecology Robotic Surgery Changes Howell Woman’s Life
Wendy's urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse were resolved after one minimally invasive procedure.

Wendy, a 66-year-old resident of Howell, NJ, owns a small farm where she raises llamas and enjoys the company of her two rescue dogs and three cats. She is physically active and certified as an end-of-life doula, offering support to the dying and their loved ones. Additionally, she works as a practice facilitator at Hackensack Meridian Health.
In July 2023, Wendy underwent a "trifecta" surgical procedure that transformed her life. She expressed immense relief and joy, feeling liberated from frequent bathroom trips, the risk of ovarian cancer, and further uterine prolapse.
“Many women live with prolapse and incontinence issues, often resorting to wearing pads, not realizing that these conditions can be treated or even cured,” says Nina Jacobson, M.D., urogynecologist at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center. “Specialized help is available for women suffering from these issues.”
