MANCHESTER, NJ — A boil water notice has been lifted for residents of Crestwood Village 6, two days after a major water main break in the age-restricted community in Manchester.

Manchester Township police issued an alert Monday evening saying residents in the Whiting community no longer needed to boil their water before drinking it or using it for cooking.

The notice had been issued following the break that happened in the area of Alpine and Congasia roads on Saturday morning that left residents without any water service for several hours.
