Manchester Schools Closed Jan. 19 Due To Snow Forecast

District officials updated the status due to the predicted storm.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township School District will be closed Friday, Jan. 19, due to the snow forecast.

The district initially had announced a delayed opening but moved to close due to the forecast, which calls for up to 6 inches of snow.

The National Weather Service's Mount Holly office issued a winter weather warning for Ocean County through Friday evening. The heaviest snowfall is anticipated te begin about 9 a.m., the service said.

The Manchester Township School District does not have any emergency closing days built into the 2023-24 calendar, so the day will have to be made up later this year.
