Fall Fire Hydrant Flushing Announced In Manchester
The hydrant flushing is part of regular maintenance for the township's water supply lines.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township utilities department will be flushing hydrants and water lines throughout the town beginning at the end of September, the township announced.
The fall hydrant flushing will continue through October, officials said, and will cover both the Eastern and Western service areas.
Each community will be notified when flushing is beginning in their area, and the work will happen both during the day and at night, with hours varying, officials said.

"During this time, you may experience a difference in pressure and discoloration," officials said. If you see discoloration, run the cold water — only the cold — until the water runs clear.
