Helping Hands For Hunger Thanksgiving Meal Drive Starts In Manchester
The Manchester Township High School initiative helps provide needy families with Thanksgiving meals.

MANCHESTER, NJ — It may only be October, but Manchester Township High School is getting its Helping Hands for Hunger food drive underway to provide Thanksgiving meals for as many needy Manchester families as possible.
Helping Hands for Hunger, which is marking its 16th year, is once again looking for the community's support in providing these meals, which are given to families confidentially. More than 100 families were helped in 2023.
Gift cards donated by the community to the Helping Hands for Hunger drive are used to purchase perishable food items such as fresh fruits, vegetables, turkeys, and eggs. The ingredients for brownies that are baked by Manchester Township High School students for the meals were also made possible by community donations, the district said.
