MANCHESTER, NJ — For the second time this week, Manchester residents are dealing with snowfall. This time, however, it actually left a decent coating in the township.

So how much did the town get? According to the National Weather Service, 6 inches, the highest total in Ocean County. The report of 6 inches came in at 10:40 a.m., the weather service said. A second report, made at 7 a.m., said 5 inches had fallen at a location in Manchester.

In other words, it was enough snow to plow and enough for the Manchester Township School District to call for a snow day.

The snow started falling between midnight and 1 a.m., as the forecast had predicted, and unlike Monday when the snow never really materialized in a significant way in Manchester, the prediction for 3 to 6 inches of snow in Ocean County held up.

Now that there's snow on the ground, send us your photos. You can email them to karen.wall@patch.com. By submitting your photo, you are giving Patch permission to publish it on our platform, with proper photo credit to you (so please include your name and hometown).
