Indictment: Toms River Man Sold Jewelry Stolen from Manchester Home
Ocean County grand juries hand up indictments

A Toms River man is accused of selling the stolen proceeds of a home burglary in Manchester.
David M. Read Jr., 50, was indicted last week by an Ocean County grand jury on dealing in stolen property, theft and burglary charges.
Read broke into a Ridgeway Road home on Aug. 29 and 30 and stole more than $500 in jewelry that he then sold in Toms River, the indictment states.

Read was initially held on $2,500 bail but posted Sept. 28.

- Lauren A. Hand, 23, of Lakehurst on a theft charge.
Hand is accused of stealing more than $500 in cash from Bed, Bath and Beyond in Brick on Aug. 17 and Sept. 17.
She was released on a summons.
- Holly A. Bennett, 37, of Red Bank on a theft charge.
Bennett is accused of stealing money from Gorlin Pools and Spas in Lakehurst over a 10-month period.
She removed funds from the business' PNC Bank account for her own use from Sept. 1, 2010, to June 30, 2011, the indictment states.
Bennett was initially held on $35,000 bail but posted Oct. 14.
