Manchester Students Honored For High AP Exam Scores
The students all scored 4 or 5 on the Advanced Placement exams in the spring.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Board of Education honored 35 students who achieved high scores on their Advanced Placement exams in the spring.
The AP program allows students to take rigorous college-level coursework and potentially earn college credit before graduating. The courses are designed to be as challenging as introductory college classes, providing students with an academic experience that enhances their readiness for higher education, according to the Advanced Placement program.
The AP Exams offered in the spring allow students to show how much they have mastered in the course work, and are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest.

Scores of 4 or 5 on an AP exam indicate a high level of mastery and readiness for college-level work. The success of these students in AP courses is significantly attributed to the dedication of the students to their course work as well as the dedication and expertise of the MTHS AP faculty, who provide the necessary guidance and support to help students excel in these challenging courses.
In addition to the students honored (you can watch the board meeting video below), 20 Manchester students were cited as AP Scholars, meaning they scored 3 or higher on three or more AP exams; 10 were cited as AP Scholars with Honors, for an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams, and 20 cited as AP Scholars with Distinction, for achieving an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of the exams.
