Manchester Township Schools Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

MANCHESTER, NJ — Summer is almost over for Manchester students. The first day of school in the Manchester Township School District is Thursday, Sept. 5.

If you are new to Manchester and need to register your children for school, details on the requirements are available on the district's website.

High school freshman building tours at Manchester Township High School are scheduled for Aug. 22. Sixth-grade orientation at Manchester Township Middle School is Aug. 14, and kindergarten orientation is set for Aug. 20, 21 and 27. Information on orientation times for each school is posted online.

There are no emergency closure days built into the calendar, so breaks and the February staff professional development day are subject to change, as is the end of the school year. "No plans should be made that cannot be adjusted," school officials said.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Thursday, Sept. 5
• Columbus Day, no school for students: Monday, Oct. 14
• Early dismissal for students: Tuesday, Oct. 22-Thursday, Oct. 24
• Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5
• Fall break, no school: Monday, Nov. 4-Friday, Nov. 8
• Thanksgiving break: Half-day, Wednesday, Nov. 27; no school, Thursday, Nov. 28-Friday, Nov. 29.
• Winter break: Half-day Friday, Dec. 20; no school, Monday, Dec. 23-Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2024
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Monday, Jan. 20
• Early dismissal: Wednesday, Jan. 29-Friday, Jan. 31.
• Professional development, no school for students: Monday, Feb. 3
• Presidents Day, no school: Monday, Feb. 17
• Early dismissal: Wednesday, March 5-Friday, March 7
• Spring break: Half-day Thursday, April 17; no school Friday, April 18-Sunday, April 27
• Memorial Day: Monday, May 26
• Last day for seniors: Thursday, June 19
