Motorcyclist Loses Control, Crashes In Manchester: Police
Manchester police said the motorcycle went down when the rider caught the peg in the pavement. The rider was hospitalized.

MANCHESTER, NJ — An 18-year-old Burlington County man was injured Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed in Whiting on Sunday, Manchester police said.
Nicolas Ferrer, 18, of Medford, was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Capt. Vincent Manco said.
The crash happened about noon at Lincoln Boulevard and McMahon Street, Manco said. Police found a damaged Silver Suzuki GSXR 1300 motorcycle lying on its side in the driveway of 1961 Lincoln Boulevard and Ferrer lying a few feet away, he said.

The investigation showed Ferrer was riding north on McMahon Street and as he tried to negotiate a turn, the peg on his motorcycle made contact with the pavement, causing him to lose control, Manco said. Ferrer tried to correct himself but the motorcycle went off the road and slid, coming to rest in the driveway, Manco said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing; however, driver error and speed have been determined to be the contributing factors.

"With the warm weather and increasing traffic, the Manchester Township Police Department would like to remind all motorists to watch out for motorcycles and for all motorcyclists to always wear DOTa-pproved helmets and equipment when riding," Manco said.
Assisting at the scene were emergency medical technicians from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Priced Rite Towing.
Patrolman Sage Sysol of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating.
