Musical Theater Program Launching In Manchester
The Recreation Department is inviting township adults to audition for its fall musical, a new program offering in the township.

MANCHESTER, NJ — If you like to sing and dance, the Manchester Recreation Department is looking for you ... to join its adult theatre troupe.
The adult musical theater program is a new offering from the Recreation Department, and is open to anyone age 18 or older (18-year-olds must be out of high school).
The first production will be "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," and auditions will be held Sept. 26.

The program has a $60 fee to participate, and the musical, described as "hysterically funny and endearing," is set to be performed Nov. 17 and 18.
All roles are open and registration is required. Please prepare 16-32 measures of a Broadway show tune and a brief monologue. Improv and movement will also be part of the audition process, so come prepared to move.
