National Night Out Event Rescheduled In Manchester
The Manchester-Lakehurst joint event, which was postponed due to Tuesday's storms, has a new date.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester and Lakehurst police have announced a new date for the National Night Out event.
The event now is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 14, Manchester police said.
"We apologize for the postponement due to the weather, but we can't wait to celebrate with you all on this new date," police said. "We're in the process of confirming our amazing vendors, and we'll keep you updated with all the fun details."

"Mark your calendars, and get ready for a fantastic evening with your community," police said.
The event is set for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Manchester Township High School, 101 S. Colonial Drive.

The event is set to include raffles and prizes, food trucks, free water and soda, live music, and the chance to see first responder equipment and vehicle displays, K-9 and SWAT demonstrations, a physical fitness competition, traffic safety and a DWI simulation.
The highlight of the event will be the competition between Lakehurst and Manchester police to see who can eat the most doughnuts.
