Retail Cannabis Shop In Lakehurst Announces Opening Date

LAKEHURST, NJ — The sign in front of High Profile Cannabis Shop in Lakehurst has said "Coming Soon" for months.

"Coming Soon" has transformed to a definite date at last, as the recreational cannabis dispensary is set to open its doors at noon Wednesday, the company has announced.

The shop, the third retail cannabis store in Ocean County, is owned by Michigan-based C3 Industries. It will serve adults 21 or older in the store at 145 Route 70 in Lakehurst and through online ordering. There will be drive-through and curbside pick-up services available.

A grand opening celebration is set for 10 a.m. on Friday, March 15, and will run through St. Patrick's Day weekend with product specials, vendor tables and food trucks, officials said.

High Profile will offer discounts for seniors, veterans, medical card holders and cannabis industry workers, the company said. The Lakehurst shop is the 24th High Profile store and New Jersey is the fifth state where the company is operating, officials said.

High Profile offers a wide selection of "highly curated premium cannabis strains and products," the company said. It has bulk-bundle purchasing options for flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, vape cartridges, tinctures, topicals and gummies. The company also offers its High Roller Loyalty member rewards program, with special discounts and perks.

High Profile joins The Social Leaf Dispensary and Bloc Dispensary as the only retail recreational cannabis shops in Ocean County. The Social Leaf opened in July 2023 in South Toms River. Bloc Dispensary in Waretown, which first opened as a medical cannabis dispensary, was approved in November 2023 to add adult-use recreational cannabis to its offerings.
