MANCHESTER, NJ — If you're looking for work, the ShopRite in Manchester is holding a job fair on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The hiring fair is part of a companywide effort by Wakefern Food Corp. to attract workers and fill positions at stores across New Jersey.

The walk-up job fair is taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the store on Route 70. There is a backup date of Jan. 27 if snow forces postponement.

Prospective employees can walk in and speak with a hiring representative for an immediate interview. Full-time, part-time and management positions are available, depending on location.

Wakefern officials said the available positions include general, perishable, front-end and stocking clerks, and offer flexible hours and a wide variety of cross-training "to provide employees with the knowledge, skills and tools to work as a team throughout the store."

"Training programs include a game-based app and are designed to provide a solid foundation so each individual can achieve their best and pursue career goals," the company said. Each job offers opportunities for career growth.

The supermarkets also offer associates entertainment and tuition discounts and scholarship opportunities.
