The Manchester Township Council is accepting resumes from people who would like to serve on the council for this year, possibly longer.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Council is seeking candidates to fill an unexpired term on the council.

With Joseph Hankins appointed mayor to replace Robert Arace, who was elected to the Ocean County Board of Commissioners in November, Hankins' council seat is open.

The person appointed to fill Hankins' seat would serve through Dec. 31, 2025. The final year of Hankins' term will be up for election in November.

The person who is appointed will be required to run for the remaining year of the term, the council said.
