Delayed Opening For Manville Schools Wednesday
The National Weather Service is predicting snow on Tuesday night and continuing into Wednesday morning.
MANVILLE, NJ — The Manville School District will operate on a delayed opening schedule on Wednesday due to anticipated inclement weather conditions, the Manville School District announced on Tuesday.
Families are encouraged to check their respective building’s website or visit the district website (www.manvillesd.org) to view adjusted start times and schedules.
The district will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and will communicate any modifications to the schedule by 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

At the Board of Education Meeting on Jan. 22, key factors influencing school delays and closures were reviewed, including current and projected weather conditions, road safety, and the timing of the storm.
Decisions regarding closures or delays are made in collaboration with the Manville Department of Public Works, Office of Emergency Management, and Police Department, with student and staff safety as the top priority.

The National Weather Service is predicting snow on Tuesday night mainly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday with a low around 26. There is a chance of precipitation of 80 percent with a total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
A chance of snow remains possible before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, then a slight chance of snow after 4 p.m.
Wednesday will be cloudy with a high near 35. There is a chance of precipitation of 30 percent with new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
