Maplewood Lions Present Donation to HK Cares, Rent Party

On Thursday 12/6/12, The Maplewood Lions presented the beneficiaries of the annual Maplewood in Motion 5K race with checks. More than $6500 was raised to support local charities.

Pictured here are (from L to R) are Tom Kerns of HK Cares accepting for local resident Ryan Burbank who was paralyzed in an accident, Chris Dickson from the Rent Parties who support local food pantries, Clifford Berek from the Lions who served as the chair of the event, and David Wagner who runs the Back Pack Pals program to support food insecure students at local schools.

The Lions thank all participants, volunteers, and sponsors, and invite all to participate again next year in this worthy endeavor.
